Use 몇 살이에요? to ask age. Answer with a native Korean number plus 살이에요.

International age

Korea officially adopted international age for legal and administrative purposes in 2023: a baby starts at zero and ages on their birthday.

The traditional system counted a baby as one at birth and everyone became a year older on January 1. You may still hear it socially.
