이에요 vs 예요ieyo vs yeyo

Say what someone or something is

받침 O → 이에요batchim O → ieyo

Use 이에요 after a word that ends in a consonant.

한국이에요.hangukieyo.

It is Korea.

민준이에요.minjunieyo.

I am Minjun.

Use 예요 after a word that ends in a vowel.

지호예요.jihoyeyo.

I am Jiho.

노르웨이예요.noreuweiyeyo.

It is Norway.

씨ssi

A polite and friendly way to address someone

Name + 씨Name + ssi

Put 씨 after a first name or full name when speaking politely to someone. Do not use it with only a family name.

민준 씨minjun ssi

Mr. Minjun / Minjun

민준 씨는요?minjun ssineunyo?

Ask 어느 나라 사람이에요? and answer with country + 사람이에요.
